Abingdon Man Sentenced To 30 Months For Child Porn Possession

BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ)—An Abingdon man will spend 30 months behind bars for possession of child pornography.

According to authorities, on October 18, 2013, 41-year-old Nicholas Paul Pedone was arrested after police found thousands of emails containing depictions of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Police say these emails were sent and received between Pedone and dozens of other email accounts.

One of the emails sent to Pedone contained two images depicting naked prepubescent and early pubescent males and females, authorizes said.

Pedone will spend 30 months in prison followed by a lifetime of supervised released. He must also register as a sex offender.
