AACO Police Looking For Taxi Carjacking Suspects

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WJZ) --- Anne Arundel County police are asking for the public's help in finding two men suspected of armed carjacking a taxi cab.

On Tuesday, Dec. 16, a 52-year-old woman taxi cab driver told police she responded to the 900 block of Washburn Avenue in Brooklyn to pick up a fair around 8:45 p.m. Two men entered the car and told her to drive them to the area of McGowan Road and Beach Road.

Once they arrive to the location, the suspects displayed a handgun and demanded the driver to get out of the cab. She did as they instructed and was left outside as the suspects fled the area with the taxi cab.

The orange 2006 Chevrolet Impala taxi cab was later found not too far from the scene, in the area of Southbridge Drive in Glen Burnie. The taxi cab belonged to Taz Inc. in Brooklyn.

The two male suspects are in their early 20s, 5 foot 11 to 6 feet tall with slim builds. They wore dark-colored clothing.

The female driver wasn't harmed during the incident.

Anne Arundel County police ask that anyone with information call 1-866-7LOCKUP. Tips leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
