AACo. Organizes Donation Drive For Women, Children In Need

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) -- A donation drive to help women trying to overcome addiction.

Anne Arundel County will organize a donation drive to help the Chrysalis House--a behavioral health agency for women and their children.

"The Chrysalis House provides essential treatment and services to women looking to break the cycle of addiction," said County Executive Steve Schuh. "I encourage every citizen of Anne Arundel County to help out this great organization in their time of need."

The organization suffered serious damage to their facility in Crownsville from a broken water pipe. The event caused 43 women and 14 children to be evacuated and relocated temporarily.

The donation drive will run from Tuesday, Jan. 20 until Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Donors are encouraged to contribute personal goods such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, paper towels, plastic cups, plastic utensils, diapers for toddlers and infants, laundry detergent, napkins and wipes.

Monetary donations are welcomed.
