AACo. School Closed Because Of Fatal Hit-And-Run Investigation

EDGEWATER, Md. (WJZ) -- A school closing to report in Anne Arundel County.

Mayo Elementary will be closed Friday because of a fatal hit-and-run investigation in Edgewater.

Fire officials found a man dead in a ditch along eastbound Central Ave. near Loch Haven Rd.

The vehicle that struck the victim fled the scene. It should have damage to the front passenger side of the hood, windshield, quarter panel and door.

It's likely the crash happened between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.
