AACO Car Crash Leaves 2 People Dead

DAVIDSONVILLE., Md. (WJZ) — Maryland State Police are investigating a crash that claimed two lives Saturday night in Anne Arundel County.

The crash took place in the area of westbound Route 50 and Maryland Route 424 about 10 minutes after a trooper from the Annapolis Barrack tried to stop the white Honda Civic which was believed to doing more than 100 mph.

The vehicle was found in the woods off of the Route 424 exit ramp in Davidsonville.

The victims have been identified as 22-year-old Dustin Smith and 24-year-old Ryan Weibley both of Edgewater.

The Maryland State Police CRASH Team responded to investigate to the cause of the crash.  Anne Arundel County Fire and EMS also responded to the scene.
