AACO Carjacking Suspect Turns Himself Into Police

FORT MEADE, Md. (WJZ) -- An Anne Arundel County teen wanted for carjacking is now in custody.

Demonta Jerome Walker, 17, turned himself into police around 11 p.m. Sunday.

Police believe Walker jumped out in front of a car near Meade Senior High School in Fort Meade, pointing a handgun at the driver and his dog.

Investigators learned Walker entered the school just prior to when the incident occurred. He was there to see his girlfriend, but was quickly removed.

Walker then entered the vehicle and made the 17-year-old victim drive two miles to the Orchard Food Mart on Reece Road.

The suspect then exited the vehicle and walked away. The victim was not injured.

Walker is charged as an adult with carjacking, first and second-degree assault and kidnapping.
