A Very Candid Convo With Orioles GM Dan Duquette
Orioles Vice President of Baseball Operation Dan Duquete joined the Vinny and Rob Show to discuss the team as the head down the final stretch of the season.
Dan and the guys talk about the conversations that happened between himself and the owners when it comes to releasing players, especially those that have been given a lot of money. When asked if the season has been a disappointment so far quoting Bill Belichick of all people, saying "you are what your record says you are."
When it comes to the off season acquisitions he made, particularly in left field, Dan sees them as a disappointment. He has seen flashes from Dariel Alvarez and Jason Garcia and while Garcia has made it to the big leagues, we still don't know when we'll see Alvarez in Baltimore.
