A Frederick Farm Pays An A-maze-ing Homage to the Orioles

BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ)-- Summers Farm in Frederick County is supporting the Baltimore Orioles with a maze designed to resemble the bird logo and the famous chant: let's go O's!

"The maze took a day to complete and it technically takes an hour to walk the entire path, unless you get lost," said Jeff Greenwood of Summers Farms.

Greenwood helped come up with the design and crop all 12-acres of the field.

"We think the orioles are going to be good this year. We really think we want to give them a little extra boost to get them into the world series," said Greenwood.

So here's how it works. Visitors get a list of Oriole-themed questions. You pick the right answer, you get the right directions. You pick the wrong answer and you might get lost.

This isn't the first time Summers Farm has been in the spotlight. Last year, they made a tribute maze for Taylor Swift.  She shared it with millions on social media.

"We like to have something that connects with the customers we feel that it makes it a little more exciting for the farm," said one Summers Farms employee.

"That's right. All about the orioles that's right."

And this year they hope the homage leads to home runs.

The maze opens to the public this weekend through October 31st.
