85-Year-Old Dead, His Wife Injured After Baltimore Co. House Fire

HUNT VALLEY, Md. (WJZ) -- An elderly man is dead and his wife is hurt after a house fire in Baltimore County.

The call came in early Monday morning in the 300 block of Western Run Road in Hunt Valley.

It took dozens of firefighters more than an hour to get the flames under control.

Phillip Fitzgerald Lee III was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Burn Center. The 85-year-old later died from his injuries.

His 80-year-old wife is being treated for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
