8-Year-Old Pasadena Girl Raising Money For Local Animal Shelters

PASADENA, Md. (WJZ) -- An 8-year-old girl from Pasadena is making a change in a "paw-fict" way.

Emma Smith founded Paws 4 Animals.

This all started back in May, when Emma's elementary school teacher assigned her to create a passion project.

She said she wanted the title to make people pause and think about animals in need.

Emma's been busy fundraising all summer. She has raised more than $500 dollars for animal shelters, and over $200 worth of supplies!
