7-Year-Old Boy Killed When ATV, Car Crash In Mardela Springs

MARDELA SPRINGS, Md. (AP) -- Authorities say a 7-year-old boy was killed when his all-terrain vehicle and a car crashed on a Mardela Springs road.

The Wicomico County Sheriff's office says the ATV drove onto Athol Road on Friday night and was hit by a passing car.

Officials say the boy was taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center with critical injuries and he was later pronounced dead.

There were no injuries to any of the occupants in the other vehicle involved.
