53-Year-Old Annapolis Man Charged In Baltimore Murder

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A 53-year-old Annapolis man was charged in the fatal stabbing of a Baltimore man last week.

Police arrested Douglas Cantrell on May 1 and later charged him with first- and second-degree murder.

Officers responded to the 3500 block of Helmstetter Street around 7 a.m. on May 1 and found Vernon Jacobs, of the 400 block of Maude Avenue, dead from stab wounds.

Witnesses help police quickly identify a suspect -- Cantrell.

Cantrell remains held without bail.
