$50K Reward Offered in Killing of Marine in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles officials are offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the shooting death of a U.S. Marine who was on leave in Los Angeles.

City News Service says the City Council approved the reward Friday and asked the public to come forward with any information about the killing of Lance Cpl. Carlos Segovia Lopez.

The Marine died Monday at a hospital, three days after being found slumped over in the driver's seat of his car in South Los Angeles. Police said the 19-year-old had been shot in the head.

No suspects were identified and investigators did not have a motive.
