5-Year-Old Found Dead In Pasadena, Suspect Arrested In Another State, Police Say
PASADENA, Md. (WJZ) -- Police in Anne Arundel County are investigating after a 5-year-old child was found dead in Pasadena early Saturday morning.
Police responded to the 4100 block of Apple Leaf Court around 8:15 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found the child who, "had suffered from apparent trauma."
"They discovered a deceased 5-year-old child," Anne Arundel County Police Lt. Jackie Davis said. "That child suffered from apparent trauma."
The suspect in the incident fled the scene but was taken into custody in another state.
"The suspect, who we're not identifying right now, was taken into custody several states away," Lt. Davis said.
Police are not yet identifying the child or suspect, or any relation between the two. But they said the person they arrested will be facing charges.
It will take several days before the suspect is extradited back to Maryland, according to police.
Police said the investigation is still ongoing.
