5-Year-Old Boy Injured In Essex Hit-And-Run Crash

ESSEX, Md. (WJZ) -- A five-year-old boy is the victim of a hit-and-run crash in Baltimore County.

It happened in the 1000 block of South Marlyn Avenue next to Deep Creek Middle School in Essex.

Police say the boy was crossing the street when he was hit by a vehicle that fled the scene.

The boy was flown to Johns Hopkins Hospital via state police medevac. His condition is unknown at this time.

Investigators say the suspect vehicle is a gold-colored SUV or pickup truck with a cap on the back. The vehicle should have some front end damage.
