5 Devastating Week 7 Losses

Week 7 is a make it or break it week or a lot of teams. This week featured a lot of divisional matchups which are heavily important especially in the standings game. With many teams making big statements like the Baltimore Ravens and the Indianapolis Colts many teams failed to get an important that could come back to haunt them in the weeks to come. Here are five teams that suffered devastating losses in Week 7.

5. The New York Jets

The New York Jets have been the laughing stock of the NFL season thus far. The New York media isn't easy but coming into Week 7 the 1-5 Jets didn't do themselves any favors. On Thursday night in Foxboro, they looked like a different team and just when you though they might pull off a Cinderella win, their potential game-winning 58 yard field goal was blocked. The Jets fell to the Patriots 25-27 and fell to 1-6. Their season is all but over despite trading for Percy Harvin.

4. The Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks traveled to San Francisco after losing at home Dallas at home in Week 6. The Seahawks had a tough time against the 1-4 Rams and wound up losing 26-28. The defending champions dropped to 3-3 and find themselves just one game from the basement in the NFC West.

3. Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings were on under a minute away from a win on the road which would have given rookie Teddy Bridgewater his second win of the season and propelled the Vikings to 3-4. Instead the Vikings are 2-5 thanks to a game winning touchdown drive by Kyle Orton and the Buffalo Bills with one second left on the clock.

2. New York Giants

The 3-3 Giants were hoping to come in Dallas and leave with a win. However, the Cowboys and DeMarco Murray were able to capitalize on the Giants mistakes and beat them 31-21 and moves them to 6-1 on the season. No one predicted this. No one.

1. Cleveland Browns

In a game which probably ended a lot of people's Knockout Pools, the favored 3-2 Browns were looking to keep Jacksonville winless and leapfrog Pittsburgh and Cincinnati to take possession of second place in the AFC North. Instead? The Jaguars notched their first win of the season by a score of 24-6 and completely embarrassed the Browns.
