5 Charged With Assault After Robbing 19-Year-Old Of Cell Phone In Brooklyn Park

BROOKLYN PARK, Md. (WJZ)-- Five people are arrested for robbing and assaulting a 19-year-old woman of her cell phone Thursday night in the Brooklyn Park area.

Anne Arundel County Police officers responded around 8 p.m. Thursday for a reported strong-arm robbery in the 5700-block of Ritchie Highway.

The victim told officers that several individuals had approached her and forcefully stole her cell phone before leaving on foot down Church Street.

Police later found the group of individuals walking away from Church Street and down the 300-block of Seward Avenue where they were detained. The victim was able to  positively identify all five suspects.

Kyerica Bishop, 26, David Roberts, 25, Tykiara James, 22, Shontrece Turner-El, 19, and Ella Farrar-Johnson, 19, have all been charged with robbery, assault and theft under $1000.
