47 New Trainees Join Baltimore City Police Academy

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Baltimore City Police Department is welcoming 47 new trainees to the police academy.

The department said this is one of the biggest recruit classes in awhile.

Mayor Jack Young and Commissioner Michael Harrison spoke to the men and women of the class.

The trainees will now go through a 27-week course.

If you're interested, the department said they're still hiring.

Two cadets also started their careers this week.
