4 Shot, 2 Killed In Cambridge Shooting

CAMBRIDGE, Md. (AP) -- Police say two people are dead and two others wounded after an early morning shooting in Cambridge.

Police say officers responded to the Elks Lodge on Pine Street at about 12:30 a.m. on Sunday. WTTG-TV reports  that the Elks Lodge had been rented out for a private event and two guests had been kicked out of the party. Soon after, a fight broke out outside the building, followed by gunfire.

Two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Two others sustained gunshot wounds and were taken to hospitals for treatment.

Cambridge Mayor Victoria Jackson-Stanley called the shooting senseless and said she was devastated by the violence.

Police have not yet identified any suspects and have not released the names of the victims.
