4 Injured In Police-Involved Accident In Harford Co.

BEL AIR, Md. (WJZ)—Four people were hospitalized on Sunday following a two-car crash involving a state trooper in Harford County.

It happened just after 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Rt. 543 and Rt. 7.

Authorities say a Maryland State Police Officer collided with another vehicle as he was responding to a call with his lights and siren activated. He was the only occupant inside the police vehicle.

The trooper and one of the occupants in the other vehicle were flown to Shock Trauma, their condition is unknown at this time.

Two additional occupants in the other vehicle were transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital where they are being treated for their injuries.

Police say they are continuing their investigation; no additional information is available at this time.
