24-Year-Old Killed In Shooting Overnight Saturday In Federal Hill

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A 24-year-old man is dead following a shooting in south Baltimore overnight Saturday.

Officers responded to the 1100 block of South Charles Street in Federal Hill for a reported shooting around 2:44 a.m.

There they found the man suffering from gunshot wounds to his body. He was taken to an area hospital, where he died.

Police later identified the victim as Ernest Wilson, III.

Correction: Police originally reported that the man who died was 34 years old. He is 24. It's been corrected.
