3 Teens Arrested In Police-Described Gang Slaying

MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, Md. (AP) -- Police in Montgomery County have arrested three teenagers and charged them with first-degree murder in what they say is a gang-related shooting.

Twenty-two-year-old Roberto Gutierrez Cruz of Montgomery Village was spotted by a passerby Nov. 2 in a wooded area not far from his home near Lakeforest Mall. Authorities declared him dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds.

On Saturday night police announced they had arrested three suspects: 17-year-old Luis Avelar Morales of Gaithersburg, 19-year-old Daniel Adonai Ramos of Montgomery Village and 18-year-old Juan Espinal Rapalo of Gaithersburg. All three are charged as adults.

Police say the suspects are associated with the MS-13 street gang.
