3 Students Suffer Minor Injuries When Pickup Hits Bus

MCHENRY, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say three students were left with minor injuries after a pickup truck struck the rear of a stopped school bus.

Troopers from the McHenry Barrack said the accident occurred shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday in Garrett County on Route 135.

They said the driver of the pickup attempted to avoid the school bus but lost control of his vehicle and it struck the bus behind the rear wheel.

State police said 12 students were on the bus. Three were taken to Garrett Regional Medical Center as a precaution. No one else was injured.

Police said the accident occurred in dense fog.
