3 Injured, Including Child, When Car Collides With MTA Bus

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Some bus routes were diverted after an accident near the Patapsco light rail stop.

The accident happened around 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Bus number 51, which was out of service, was pulling away from the Patapsco light rail stop and was turning left onto Patapsco Avenue when a car traveling in the opposite direction hit the bus.

The woman driving the car and a seven-year-old child were taken to the hospital. There were two operators on the bus. One complained of having difficulty breathing. None of the injuries are thought to be life-threatening.

There are a few diversions because of the accident.

Baltimore City police and MTA police are investigating.

West Patapsco Avenue was closed while the accident was cleared up.
