3 Injured After School Bus Overturns In Howard County

MARRIOTTSVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Authorities are investigating a crash that left two teenage students and an adult injured when a private school bus overturned in Howard County.

Maryland State Police said in a news release that troopers found the bus on its side Monday afternoon in a center grass median in Marriottsville.

Police say 71-year-old Wilbur Randolph Jr. was driving the three passengers. Randolph did not report being injured, but the passengers -- 53-year-old school aide Arlene Beverly and two students, ages 16 and 18 -- were taken to a hospital.

It is unclear what school the students are from.

Investigators believe the driver was cut off by another vehicle in the fast lane of Interstate 70 and lost control of the bus. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
