3 Injured After Fire Destroys Baltimore Home

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—A woman is seriously injured after a home goes up in flames on Monday night.

It happened in the 4500 block of Fairview Ave.

Upon arrival to the scene, firefighters say flames were showing from the single story residence.

Samuel Johnson, a Baltimore City Fire Department spokesperson, says they rescued a woman that was trapped inside the home. She was transported to an area hospital where she remains in serious condition.

Two other men were also injured in the blaze. Their condition is unknown at this time.

Johnson says the fire started in the kitchen, but the cause remains under investigation.

Officials estimate the damage to be a total loss.
