3 Firefighters Injured, Dog Dies In Temple Hills Fire

TEMPLE HILLS, MD (WJZ)—Three firefighters were injured following a fire in Temple Hills on Sunday afternoon, according to Mark Brady, Chief Spokesperson with the Prince George's CountyFire/EMS Department.

It happened around 3:00 p.m. in the 3000 block of Henry Avenue.

According to WUSA9, all residents made it out of the home safety, but sadly the family dog died in the blaze.

Officials say the fire started in the kitchen after a cooking accident.

Cooling units were dispatched to the scene due to Sunday's high temperatures.
