Judge Dismisses 25 Lawsuits Against D.C. Metro

BALTIMORE (WJZ) - A Federal Judge has dismissed more than two dozen lawsuits against the D.C. Metro and The District of Columbia over a deadly electrical malfunction.

According to the Washington Post, plaintiffs have asked for the 25 cases to be dismissed. No word on if a settlement with the Metro or D.C. was agreed to out of court.

A woman was killed and more than 80 others were sickened in 2015, when a malfunction caused a train to fill with smoke.

The lawsuit filed by family members of the woman who died was not dismissed.
