23-year-old Dead Following Car Crash In Towson

BALTIMORE (WJZ)--A man is dead after the car in which he was driving struck a tree on Sunday night in Towson.

It happened around 11:40 p.m. on Fairmount Ave. east of Towson Date Drive.

Police say the 23-year-old driver of a 2002 Toyota Camry was traveling westbound when his vehicle struck a median and then a tree.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim, who is not being identified at this time, was the only occupant inside the car.

The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
