2013 BWI Passenger Traffic Down Slightly

LINTHICUM, Md. (AP) -- Officials say passenger traffic at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport dropped slightly in 2013, even though international passenger traffic rose almost 20 percent.

An airport spokesman said Monday that nearly 22.5 million commercial passengers flew through BWI in 2013, making it the second-busiest year ever. That figure was down 0.8 percent from 2012.

For the second straight year, international passenger traffic grew 19.8 percent last year.
