2 Vehicles Exchange Gunfire In Western Maryland

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Hagerstown police are looking for the occupants of two vehicles that exchanged gunfire as they traveled through a city neighborhood.

Police say there is no evidence anyone was hurt by the bullets fired shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday.

They say occupants of a gray or silver minivan and a dark-colored sedan exchanged gunfire as they traveled in the same direction for several blocks from Jonathan Street onto Broadway north of the city center.

Police say three men ran from the minivan after it crashed into a steel safety barrier. The sedan drove on and disappeared.

Investigators recovered two guns at the minivan crash site.
