2 Swimmers Rescued From Surf In Ocean City

OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) -- Two swimmers were rescued from the surf in Ocean City over the weekend.

The Daily Times of Salisbury reports that a 12-year-old boy and an adult male were rescued from the ocean on Saturday afternoon.

The Ocean City Beach Patrol and the Ocean City Fire Department responded to a call about 1 p.m. that swimmers were in distress. When emergency responders arrived, they spotted two swimmers in need of assistance.

Lifeguards were able to rescue the swimmers. The adult swimmer was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
