2 Stabbed, 1 Fatally, At Frederick Co. Prayer Counseling Center
FREDERICK, Md. (WJZ)—Authorities in Frederick County are investigating after a man was stabbed to death at a prayer counseling center on Sunday night.
The Frederick County Sheriff's Office described a gruesome scene where a husband and a wife were stabbed at Anna Prayer Counseling Center in Frederick County.
Police say the man has died from his injuries. The woman was flown to Shock Trauma where she's listed in serious but stable condition.
The suspect is only identified as an Asian man who has apparently been living at the prayer center for about a week. Sheriff Chuck Jenkins, with the Frederick County Sheriff's Office said an interpreter has been brought in to assist in communication with the suspect.
Police say they were notified of the stabbing when the suspect called 911 stating he would wait for authorities to arrive on the scene
WJZ has learned the brutal stabbing occurred while the congregation was holding a service on Sunday night.
The motive for the stabbing is still unknown at this time.
Authorities are continuing their investigation.
