2 Men Fatally Shot In West Baltimore Within 1 Hour

BALTIMORE (AP/WJZ) -- Baltimore police are investigating two homicides that happened within an hour just 3 miles apart.

Police say the first killing happened around 7 p.m. Monday. Officers responding to a call of shots fired arrived to the west Baltimore scene in the 300 block of Nottingham Road to find a 23-year-old man bleeding from multiple gunshots wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

An hour after that, officers responded to another call of shots fired about 3 miles away from the first shooting. When they arrived to the 3400 block of Mondawmin Avenue , they found a 35-year-old man suffering at least one gunshot wound. He also died at a local hospital.

Police say there's no reason to believe the two shootings are related.
