2 Men Fatally Shot Following Apparent Confrontation

SEVERN, Md. (WJZ) -- Two men are dead after a confrontation at a home on Sandy Farm Road.

According to police, the two men got into an argument with a resident at that house. The resident then shot both men, who fled the area.

Police searched the home and found suspected crack cocaine, powder cocaine, marijuana, amphetamine dextroamphetamine pills, alprazolam pills, suboxone film strips, and heroin. Also recovered during the search was a digital scale and $6,140.00 in U.S. currency. Detectives also recovered a loaded 12 gauge Mossberg shotgun. John Matthew Garrison, who lives at the home, has been charged with possession. He's being held at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center on $350,000 bond.

One of the men drove away in a white pickup. He was able to drive a short distance before dying of his injuries. He was identified as Timothy John Kerr.

The other man broke into another home on Sandy Farm Road to get help. The homeowner called 911 to report a burglary and when police arrived, that man was taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center. He later died of his injuries. He has been identified as Duwayne Thomas Mason.

An investigation is ongoing.
