2 Men Charged in Parking Lot Altercation at Rutgers Campus

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) — Two men allegedly involved in an altercation at Rutgers University's Livingston campus that ended with a shot being fired are now facing charges.

School officials say Josaih Agbo, of Bloomfield, and Malcolm Webb, of Newark, both face simple assault charges. Agbo also faces two weapons counts.

Both men are 22 and not affiliated with the school.

Witnesses said the argument erupted shortly before 5 p.m. Friday in a parking lot at the campus in Piscataway. They say one man pulled out a gun while the other got a machete.

The gunman allegedly fired at a parked car, then ran away. No injuries were reported in the incident.

Authorities have not said what sparked the argument.
