2 Killed In Cecil County, Suspect Charged

CECIL COUNTY, Md. (WJZ)—A man is facing murder charges after two people are killed last night in Cecil County.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. in the 900 block of West Pulaski Highway.

Police say upon arrival to the scene, 30-year-old James David Crockett Jr. and 50-year-old Vicky Lynn Holbrook were found dead. Police say it appears they were suffering from gunshot wounds, but an exact cause of death is pending an autopsy investigation.

Hours after the shooting the suspect, 30-year-old Marty Cyle Holbrook, was turned into Cecil County Sheriff's Office by a concerned relative.

Holbrook is charged with 2 counts of first degree murder, 2 counts of second degree murder, 2 counts of first degree assault, 2 counts of second degree assault, 2 counts of reckless endangerment, 2 counts of use of a firearm in commission of a felony and 2 counts of handgun on person.

Detectives are still investigating the case to determine if there are any other suspects and to determine the motive for the incident.
