2 Guns Stolen From Vehicle Belonging To Federal Agent

CLARKSBURG, Md. (AP) -- Police say two 18-year-old men have been charged with stealing two handguns from a vehicle assigned to a federal agent.

Montgomery County police say the guns were in a backpack inside the vehicle and were reported stolen early Thursday morning in Clarksburg.

Later that morning, police arrested 18-year-old Jarvis Johnson for alleged drug dealing and recovered one of the guns from him.

Police later identified another 18-year-old as a suspect. Tavis Clore was arrested Friday afternoon, and detectives found the gun in a wooded area.

Both face charges including theft and conspiracy. They're being held on bond. Online court records did not list an attorney for either man.
