2 Dead After Multiple Shootings In Baltimore

BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ)—Baltimore City Police are investigating two separate shootings that left two people dead on Sunday afternoon.

Police say the first shooting happened at approximately 2:10 p.m. in the 600 block N Ellwood Ave.

Police found 25-year-old Derrick Black suffering a gunshot wound to the head who later died from his injuries. A woman also suffered gunshot wounds to the leg and back and is being treated at an area hospital.

At approximately 3:40 p.m. on Sunday police say they responded to the 4500 block of Rogers Ave. for a report of shots fired.

According to police, 29-year-old Tavares Black suffered multiple gunshot wounds including one to his head. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Homicide Detectives are investigating both incidents, anyone with any information is asked to call police at (410) 396-2100.
