2 Charged In Oct 6 Columbia Carjacking

HOWARD COUNTY, Md. (WJZ)—Police in Howard County have announced charges against two men for their involvement in multiple carjackings and a robbery incident, one of which occurred last week in Columbia.

Police say on October 6, they responded to a home in Columbia after a woman was carjacked on Cedar Lane. The victim was driven around for hours, even being taken to ATMs to withdraw money against her will.

On Wednesday, police arrested and charged 38-year-old Ledell Padmore, of Columbia, and 25-year-old Taylor James Pugh, of Columbia and charged them with armed carjacking, kidnapping, armed robbery, assault, auto theft, theft and conspiracy.

Police also announced charges against both men for additional offenses.

On October 9th Padmore allegedly robbed a woman in the 12200 block of Little Patuxent Parkway in Columbia.

Police say on October 11, they responded to multiple carjackings in Columbia. The first happened around midnight in the 10200 block of Hickory Ridge Road when two suspects carjacked a man sitting in his vehicle. Six hours later, two suspects matching a similar description carjacked another man sitting in his car in the 11900 block of Blue February Way. At this time police have charged Taylor Pugh with the carjackings.

Police say they are still investigating if Padmore was involved in the Oct 11th carjackings.
