2 Arrested In Pepper Spray Incident Near UMd. Campus

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (WJZ) -- Police at the University of Maryland are investigating a pepper spray incident that happened near campus.

Shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday, university police say they received a complaint about a loud party inside an apartment on Boteler Lane.

The responding officers used pepper spray, and two people were arrested.

Investigators are now reviewing police body camera footage, as well as surveillance video from the area.

The two arrested are charged with disorderly conduct, failure to obey lawful order and obstructing and hindering.
