2 Arrested After Vehicle Pursuit Results In Handgun Seizure

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Two suspects have been arrested after police say a brief vehicle pursuit resulted in the seizure of a handgun.

It happened Wednesday night just after 8:00 p.m. in the area of Hollins and Carey Streets.

Police say they observed a vehicle parked on the side of the road in which the passenger was in possession of a handgun.

Once authorities activated their lights and sirens of their marked patrol car the suspect fled, police said.

According to investigators, a short time after, the vehicle was involved in an accident with another motorist at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and North Eutaw Street.

No injures were reported in the accident.

Police say two suspects were arrested and charged with numerous traffic and drug violations.
