2 Arrested After Suspected Marijuana Found In Car

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Annapolis Police say two people were arrested after several bags of suspected marijuana were found in a car during a traffic stop.

Officers stopped a car they say failed to stop at a stop sign about 7:35 p.m. Sunday. Police say officers smelled marijuana as they approached the vehicle.

The Capital of Annapolis reports authorities say a search of the car turned up suspected marijuana and a loaded pistol in one of the car's doors, and more suspected marijuana in the trunk.

Paul Born, 38, of Lothian and Jennifer Palmer, 29, of Elkridge were charged with gun and drug offenses.
