18-Year-Old Dies After Being Shot In Passenger Seat Of Car In Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- An 18-year-old is dead after being shot in the passenger seat of a car in the area of North Ellwood Avenue and East Monument Street in Baltimore Tuesday night.

Officers were summoned to the area after receiving calls about gunfire around 9:30 p.m.

Shortly after officers responded to the cross streets, a shooting victim arrived at Johns Hopkins Hospital suffering from gunshot wounds.

Detectives learned that the victim was seated on the passenger side of a vehicle when a suspect approached the vehicle and opened fire, striking him.

The driver of the vehicle fled the location and drove the victim to Johns Hopkins Hospital. The victim was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
