11-Year-Old Boy Hospitalized After Laurel Hit-And-Run

LAUREL, Md. (WJZ) -- Police are searching for the driver behind a hit-and-run that left an 11-year-old boy hospitalized.

Investigators say the boy was riding his bike with his father along the 3500 block of Whiskey Bottom Road in Laurel when an older model red minivan struck him and then took off.

The child was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
