PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (WJZ)--Three adults and one child are dead, and more than a dozen injured, following a fiery crash this afternoon in Prince George's County.

WJZ's Tracey Leong has the latest.

Prince George's County Fire spokesperson, Mark Brady said just before 5:00 p.m. a pickup truck, with its tire on fire, struck a passenger van carrying multiple people, in the 2600 block of Chillum Road.

According to officials, the pickup truck was involved in a separate crash just yards up the road before barreling down Chillum Road and striking the van and sending it up in flames.

At this time, three adults and one child have died in the crash. Fourteen others, including eight adults and six children, were transported to the hospital with injuries ranging from life threatening to non-life threatening.

"Anytime you deal with children and fatalities, and serious injuries, it does affect firefighters, medics and police officers" said Brady.

Witnesses captured moments following the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
