101-Year-Old Orioles Fan To Throw First Pitch On Saturday

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Prior to the Orioles game against the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday, June 18, Martha Ahlfeldt will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Ahlfeldt, who will soon celebrate her 102nd birthday, was born on July 16, 1914, in Baltimore. She is a mother of two, grandmother of 11, great-grandmother of eight, and great-great-grandmother of two.

Her love for the Orioles started in the 1940's when her father took her to see the International League Orioles. She and her husband, Charles, held Orioles season tickets in the 1960's and 1970's at Memorial Stadium.
