1 Killed In Elkton Shooting; Suspects Sought

ELKTON, Md. (WJZ)—Police in Cecil County are searching for suspects involved in a deadly shooting on Saturday night.

It happened just before 11:00 p.m. Saturday in the unit block of Navajo Trail North, in Elkton.

Police say they were called to the single family home for a reported shooting.

At the scene 22-year-old Malcolm G. Lowrie, of Elkton was found suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital where he later died.

A preliminary investigation has revealed that Lowrie was visiting home when two or more people entered the residence. Police say it's unclear if they were granted access or not.

According to a witness, an altercation ensued between one of the suspects and Lowrie moments before he was shot.

Police are now looking for who fired the weapon.

No one else was injured in the shooting.
