1 Killed After Tractor Trailer Carrying Apples Strikes Car

CARROLL COUNTY, Md. (WJZ)—Police are investigating a fatal accident on Rt. 27, in Westminster on Friday morning.

According to police, around 4:00 a.m. a tractor-trailer carrying sliced apples was traveling on Rt. 27 when it went through an intersection and struck a car. Both vehicles caught fire as a result of the crash.

Police confirm one person has died. Their identity is being withheld at this time.
