1 Killed, 2 Injured In Cecil County Shooting

NORTH EAST, Md. (AP) -- The Cecil County Sheriff's Office says one man is dead and two people were hurt after a shooting in a home in North East.

Deputies say a 911 call was made about 3 a.m. Wednesday reporting people were shot in a home on Lakeside Drive.

Police found 36-year-old Joshua W.L. Hodge Sr., 36-year-old Shannon D. Burlin and 35-year-old George M. Thodos suffering from gunshot wounds.

Deputies say Hodge was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore, where he died. Burlin and Thodos were taken to Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware. Authorities say they are in critical condition.

Witnesses described a car that fled the scene. Deputies found the car and a suspect nearby.

Twenty-two-year-old Dennis Allen Conte of no fixed address was charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder.
